Join our special classes for honeymooners and couples who want to make a new cooking experience!

Food holds body and soul together and cooking is one of the most engaging, inspiring as well as challenging experiences you can have.

MORNING:

Go to the market with the chef and choose your ingredients. They have to be seasonal, fresh, and intriguing to you.

Back to the kitchen our chef will guide you to the preparation of a traditional bolognese menu with some twists. You'll learn how to surprise your partner with new unexpected flavours.

You'll learn how to prepare handmade pasta with a rolling-pin, sauces to accompany, meat, fish or vegetables dishes according to your choice.

You'll be given information on the most celebrated ingredients of our region: Parmigiano Reggiano, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Culatello di Zibello, Prosciutto di Parma, etc

At the end of the cooking morning you'll have lunch with your preparation.

 

AFTERNOON:

Visit at the Acetaia La Ca Dal Non in Vignola.

Together with Mariangela well discover the ancient world of traditional balsamic vinegar.

You will learn how its made and how to taste it.

Times: 8:30 am - 1 pm 4pm - 8:30 pm

Possible dishes we may cook are:

Tagliatelle, Tortelloni, Ravioli or Lasagne, Meat or Fish Saucesand Mains, Vegetables dishes according to your taste and availability at the market.

AFTERNOON: Visit at the Acetaia La Ca Dal Non in Vignola.

In the afternoon we leave downtown Bologna to travel to nearby Modena, famous for its "Balsamico Traduzionale." We will taste Traditional Balsamic Vinegar ("liquid gold") of Modena, aged - aged over 12 -25 years at a historic Acetaia (vinegar factory) . The family of the the place we visit has been producing Balsamico Traduzione since 1883!

Together with Mariangela well discover the ancient world of traditional balsamic vinegar.

You will learn how its made and how to taste it.

ABOUT THE BALSAMICO FACTORY:

Once upon a time there stood an old house with stone walls, swathed in the luscious scent of the cherry trees

 

Once upon a time there lived a great-grandfather, Alfonso by name, who worked at the cobbler's trade in a shop in the centre of Vignola

Once upon a time there was the age of tradition of ripening the cooked grape must in aged wooden barrels stored in the room beneath the roof
